GUIDELINES FOR A CV COVER LETTER

  1. Use plain white A4 paper
  2. It must not be more than one page
  3.  State the job you are applying for and where you got the vacancy information (this is important because some organizations may advertise so many vacancies).
  4.  Spell your words correctly
  5.  Make it personal (everybody wants to be treated specially, do research about the organization and what make them distinct).
  6. Mention what makes you unique from other applicants.
  7.  Relate your skills to the job.
  8. If you want to send the CV by e-mail, make your main e-mail the cover letter and your CV the attached document.

i.        Always include name and the address of your employer, try to find out exactly who will be dealing with your application and what their tittle is. You can do that by checking the internet or even ringing the company and asking. Adding the address of the real person rather than a generic sir/madam gives the letter a much personal touch.
j.        To every job there is always a different cover letter depending on the nature of the job.

Our consultants at STRUD INNOVATIONS have lots of expertise in writing professional cover letters that will give you a real advantage over other applicants
