Curriculum vitae (CV)
is a Latin expression which means “[the]course of [my] life” is a written
description of your work experience, educational background and skills. Your CV
serves as your marketing tool used in selling you to the cooperate world.
Sell…lol! But that is just the truth. It should be carefully crafted to ensure
you have the best possible chance of getting the job you want.
To have the best
consideration, your CV must have the following attribute
·
Clarity
·
Intelligence
Most people take resume for CV, though they perform
almost the same function but there are slight differences.
CV is basically used in
Middle East, Asia and Africa and Europe while a resume is commonly used in
America. The primary difference between a CV and a resume is there length, what
is included and what each is used for. A resume is a one or at most two pages
brief and concise summary of your skills, experience and two educational qualifications
while a CV is longer (at least two pages) and more detailed, it contains a
summary of your educational background, technical skills, teaching and research
experience, publications and other details.
