The hiring manager
spends less than one minute reviewing each CV they receive because they have
thousands of CVs to review. The question is - how do you make sure that your CV
doesn’t end up in the recycling bin or a trash can? Avoid mistakes like;
- Typographical error
- Wrong contact address
- CV that are more than two pages
- CV printed on decorative paper (use plain white A4 paper).
- CV that detail more task than previous achievement and your proposed contribution to the organization
- CV that include photo
- CV that is badly type using large blocks of text and bad font with little white space.
- Do not add political affiliations unless the job has to do with politics.
- Do not lie in you CV.
